I'm using a stock replacement for my 3.0 its a Modine. I bought it from Napa.

Here are all the Attributes

Core Size:18 x 18 3/8 x 1 (1 Row)
Inlet Header Size:1 3/4 x 18 1/2
Outlet Header Size:1 3/4 x 18 1/2
Inlet Connector Size:1 7/16 Top Right
Outlet Connector Size:1 1/2 Bottom Left

ive heard that SBC radiators have the "correct" outlet for the 2.3 (wheras the ranger v-6's outlets are opposite). plus that route would net you a 2 row (i think it'll help...especially if you start turning the boost up alot). just a thought :icon_thumby:

Lookin really good. Turbos are alot of fun when they spool. That truck should sure surprise alot of people went they read "Ford" on your tailgate as you blow their doors off! I like the painted valve cover.

Hey guys! I have pretty much got all of my wires well organized and ready to be put back in a loom. But i cant find my Check engine light wire....? I know it is # 17 on the ranger pin-out and it is pink and Light green but i cant find where i cut it when i was getting all all of the 3.0 wires out of the truck. It has to be under the hood somewhere but i cant find the pink and green wire.

So I need to know were that wire runs into the dash at so i can have a check engine light again? Is it the same color as it is at the computer or does it change some where down the line?

I got my boost gauge yesterday I might have some pics of the Install later on today.

Well i figured out were I'm going to mount my boost gauge. That fake vent makes a perfect spot. I fabed a piece of aluminum today at school. Should I paint it black or leave it the aluminum color. I really cant make up my mind but I'm thinking black...?

Black with the rim of the guage painted blue, perhaps???

I would do that in mine because I got a blue interior. I don't know what yours is. Get a scheme going on though...

I'm thinking I'll go with orange, black, and blue in my cab once it's completely the way I want it.

Well guys the truck was running great! The key word is WAS! I finished it up a few weeks ago and started to drive it. One day I started to goof off with the boost and did not think about only running 89 octane. I made a couple of 10 psi pulls around town and did not think much of it. The next time i went to drive the truck it started to miss really bad. The head gasket burned into and the #3 piston is junk. It must of been detonating pretty bad. I know what your all thinking and this time I’ll have to agree...I'm a idiot! I was just so pumped about how good it was running that i was not thinking clear..lol well she should be back on the road in a couple of weeks and I’ll be running 93 octane. I'll have plenty of pics to post.

When you crank up the boost you want the timing to retard. You may want to buy a MSD set-up.

87 oct and 10 psi you should still be fine with a factory tune....

ask me how i know? my other toy is a 320 RWHP and 380 RWTRQ 86 svo :D and i did it all on a 100% stock longblock

these engines are super tough, so if you tear it up something major is going on, you say it was .40 over...so did you put some aftermarket forged pistons in? dished or flat top?
